Drug gang convicted in federal court
Lionel Dewayne Gilliam, 23, of Forestville; Sean Adonis Simpson, 24, of Suitland; and Norberto Quinones, 24, of Upper Marlboro were convicted in Greenbelt on all charges, including four murders.
The crimes stemmed from their marijuana and crack cocaine dealing operations at several apartment complexes in the Hilmar area of Forestville, according to federal prosecutors.
Prosecutors said the defendants used the apartments in Forestville to store drugs as well as an arsenal of weapons, and intimidated residents in the neighborhood.
Gilliam allegedly shot and killed resident Donald Twitty in July 2002, and resident Juan Clark in October 2002, because he believed they were cooperating with police. Gilliam was also convicted of the carjacking and murder of Terrence Lamont Adams and the murder of Donald Stafford.
